Meet Keith
Hello, I am Keith Custer, Founder of Revive Home Investors. I started Revive Home Investors for 2 main reasons. #1 to help good people get out from underneath bad home ownership situations fair and fast. #2 to help REVIVE properties in my hometown of Kansas City to a level that benefits the community as well as the property values of its neighbors.
Growing up in a single parent home I saw firsthand how hard home ownership can be to maintain. Things like divorce, death, unexpected expenses, home repairs and “life” can sneak up out of the blue and create chaos. Soon what most see as the American dream of owning a home can become an American Nightmare.
A home you own on paper can begin to feel like it actually owns you and your future. I don’t think that is a healthy situation for anyone to stay in if they don’t want to.
I worry about those in a situations where traditional options of selling a home with a realtor or “for sale by owner” are not an option.
The fact is if you don’t have the money to repair your home to a certain standard or make up past due payments or have the time it takes to complete a sale on the open market, your options can be very scary.
People should not have to choose between fix and sell, stay and suffer or lose their home altogether. That’s why I named my company Revive Home Investors. REVIVE—to regain life, consciousness or strength. That’s what I hope to bring to those we do business with.
Meet Revive
We are a family-owned Kansas City based homebuyer. We buy houses that traditionally will not sell in most public markets in the time needed to close or in the condition / circumstances that they sit. We buy houses in what’s commonly referred to as being in “AS-IS” condition. We also work with other buyers in KC Metro and nationwide to help us ensure your house sells at a fair price and as quickly as you are comfortable with.
Some of the houses we buy need a little love and some frankly need a miracle, but we buy them anyway and in any condition. We understand that homeownership can be unpredictable. Some of the people we help have properties that didn’t age well and became overwhelming to maintain. Some had things like death, probate, divorce, back owed taxes, and other unfortunate situations make owning their property more of a problem than anything.
We specialize in taking a problem property situation and “Revive” with options that put cash in your pocket and relieve you from dealing with the property anymore so you can live again without the stress the property is bringing you.
Our goal is to help homeowners who are motivated to sell their home, in its present condition, on their timeline, for a fair price, a smooth selling process, without repairs, excessive paperwork or processes. We understand selling your house is a big step, we are here to make sure it’s not a complicated one.
We believe selling a home can often times be very emotional and that people deserve a respectful approach when selling their properties. We want to work with you to deliver just that.
The Revive Difference
We believe that the person is more important than the property. That means when we show up at a home, it’s with the understanding our client may be dealing with a stressful situation that home ownership has placed on their shoulders. We know this can feel very overwhelming. Understanding this, we feel it is our responsibility to provide a fair option to get the homeowner out from underneath their situation and on top of a better one.
Sometimes that solution is Revive Home Investors buying the home cash and closing on the homeowner’s timeline. Other times that means educating the homeowner on alternative options that align better with the personal goals they share with us. Even if that means not selling the home to us.
Either way we respect the emotional value homes hold and pledge to treat the homeowner’s space with the utmost care and consideration when presenting an offer.
Revive Home Investors knows that some homes may need a little more love than others. This may even come up when we explain how we arrived at our offer. However, as guests in your home, you can rest assured you won’t find us calling your home “UGLY” to drive your price down. You can expect the Revive core principals of Respect, Empathy, Vision, Integrity, Vigor and Expertise when we meet to present you with an offer to buy your home.
